There is a new game that has just been released that I have been jonesin for, and it is called “Bayonetta for the playstation and Xbox 360. Now the game is made for both systems and therein lies a problem, because I do not own either gaming system. i have many gaming systems in fact almost all gaming systems except those 2.

In my home you can find a Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 2, Nintendo DS, Playstation Portable and Nintendo Gameboy. Do you think I own enough systems? Bayonetta has just been released and falls into the Action fighting game genre and takes focuses on the main character Bayonetta.  Bayonetta can weild 4 guns and utilizes magical attacks.

The game was directed by Hideki Kamiya who also had a hand in the making of Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe series. Pre releases have been raved about in how easily it is to get involved in the game and learned. The game has been heavily promoted here in Japan with the Japanese pop idol MiChi and numerous in your face ad campaigns. Personally I have watched the trailer at the local electronics store, and it look fantastic.

The games story line involves Bayonetta who resides in Vigrid, a fictional city in Europe.  Bayonetta is a witch who shapeshifts and uses various firearms, along with magical attacks she performs with her own hair, to defeat her enemies. She carries four handguns—two hand-held, and one attached to each heel—and has also been pictured with shotguns, rocket launchers, a glowing whip with a cobra’s head at the tip of it, and a two-handed katana. In other words she is one bad ass!

Now the dilemma is which gaming system do I want to get to play this game on. First let me say that I can’t stand Microsoft, and would much rather support the Japanese company Sony. Although….. Bayonetta has been rated a 40 out of 40 on the Xbox 360 while Bayonetta for the Playstation 3 has left a lot to be desired in graphical content. In fact a lot I have been reading says that the Xbox 360 wins out a lot of the times when it comes to graphics.

Also another thing for me to consider is the amount of games available for the Xbox-360 here in Japan. The isle for the Playstation 3 is huge while the X-box 360 section is very small, although I can get around that by ordering online. Another thing that I am thinking about is that I already own a PSP, which works well with the PS3. Hmmm what shall I do?

To tell you the truth I am leaning towards the Playstation 3 even though the graphics are not as good for a lot of games that are also offered on the Xbox 360. What do you guys think? I would love to here some pros and cons for both systems that might help me in my decision to get Bayonetta for the Playstation or Xbox 360.

   Nice website, I was performing some web snooping and stumbled upon your website, I used to be pondering if you knew your blog is displaying unusually within the K-mellon browser. I will see most of it however the graphics are somehow out of whack. Probably not a massive issue since hardly nobody uses it any longer however I am old school and still use it.

   As web designers we have to tweak our websites for the masses, and at this time that is IE and Firefox. Sorry you are having problems with some of the graphics, but if I was to try and fix it for K-mellon it would throw it of for the 2 most popular browsers.

   Can’t wait for the European version. I can buy the Japanese version now, but I need it in English
