It is not a big secret that the webmaster for this blog is a huge Apple fan. It all started back about 5 years ago when my wife bought me a 30 gig Ipod Video for Christmas. After seeing the packaging and the excellent quality and support, I was hooked and next had to try out a Apple computer after being a PC person for the past 15 years. The computer I bought was an Apple G5 with an Intel core duo processor, and I have never looked back.

Apple makes great products and the software is super user friendly and of the utmost quality. After moving to Japan I had to get a cell phone for my work against my wishes.. (I hate cell phones) But I needed it, and settled for the company AU here in Japan with a phone that is a Sony Ericsson that has so many features it’s ridiculous. This phone does music, TV, Navigation with GPS, photos, video, Voice recorder, PDF reader, and probably 100’s of other features.  But there is a slight problem, I can’t read my user manual because it is in Japanese so don’t know how to use 90% of the features that it offers.

Recently I have been wanting to get an Apple Iphone, because I would know how to use all of it’s features, but I already have a contract with AU for another year, so an Apple Iphone is pretty much out of the question at this time. Sometimes I have in upwards of 4 hours between classes, and I live to far to come home, so I was looking for something that would occupy my time. The I-phone would be the perfect thing, but as I explained that is out of the question at this time.

I think Kagami likes the new Playstation Portable

I recently discovered from a friend a playstation portable machine.  This would be the perfect thing to keep me company on those long hours between classes. I did a little research on the Internet and found that the playstation portable machine plays games, can use the Internet, plays movies and videos, plays mp3’s, is a TV, a car navigation system, can use with Skype, that allows you to call Free all over the world to other Skype members, and probably much more that I have not discovered yet. The graphics and color is top notch and is the best I have seen on a portable handheld gaming machine.

The Playstation portable machine is very reasonable for the amount of things it can do costing me about $160.00, much cheaper than an I-phone. So far I have just downloaded some game demos, uploaded some music and videos to it, but am still learning all of the things it can do.

All in all I feel that it was a good purchase and will keep me entertained hours upon end, which is exactly what I needed.

   I love the PSP. Like you, I think it is a great piece of technology. I like it that some of the games that I play on the Playstation have been made for the PSP as well.

   PSP and XBOX are one of the inventions of this century. We should be happy that we are born in this era
