Hokkaido Winter Vacation

Hokkaido Winter Vacation

I am just coming off of a 13 day Hokkaido Winter Vacation and the snowboarding adventure count is:

Kamui Ski Links: 1

Santa Present Park: 2

Canmore: 4

So I packed in as much snowboarding as I possibly could, or that my old sore body could take.  7 times in total though, that makes it about every other day on vacation.  My son took ski lessons this weekend and I am afraid I might have lost a snowboarding partner to the ski’s. haha  Oh well!  As long as we are both making the most out of the winter season, then I guess it doesn’t really matter.

Ok now it’s time that I went on a rant.. “When I arrived here, I was warned, are you sure you want to live here?  You are coming from Texas where it is very very hot to Hokkaido where it snows everyday, it is very cold, the streets are so dangerous to drive on.. etc.. etc.. etc…

Ok Where the Hell is the Snow, that is supposed to be so deep… So far I haven’t seen any..  I am praying for deep deep snow, but it isn’t happening.  Now as far as cold weather, haven’t seen any of that yet either, and here we are over half way through the winter season… Oh Yeah I know February is still on it’s way which is the coldest month..  Well I say poo poo!!!  Bring it On!!  And as far as driving, the snow and ice is not a problem at all, but it is more of the elderly people on the road who decide they need to turn right or left after they are 5 feet from their turn.

Ok I will get off my rant now!!

But for real, we are in deep need of deep snow, I know the ski resorts are hurting this year due to lack of snow, and it is truly disappointing to someone like me who is just learning the new sport, but I am making the best of it.  I guess the snow that we do have, that is hard as the asphalt roads when you fall, will basically teach you not to fall.  Lessons started up again this week, and it is good to get back into the groove, not to mention, if I don’t work,, I don’t get paid.

This year is going the be the most prosperous of them all, especially when it comes to my business ventures online.  I have started a new blog that teaches people how to make money online, so if you get a chance to check it out I would appreciate the traffic.  The address is http://onehundreddollarsaday.com or you can just click one hundred dollars a day.  I am going to document my goal of going from $0 to $100 a day by the year 2010, watch me and follow along, if you dare.

Well I will close for now and may you all have a blessed and prosperous 2009, remember that you create your own reality, good thoughts, good reality…. Successful thoughts, Successful reality.  Damn the recession, it’s all in your mind.  I choose success.. So should you!

Sounds like a lot of fun. Too bad about your snowboard partner. Maybe downhill can have its advantages….:)

Just been reading through your blog and I’m of course interested in seeing how you are getting along in your goal of striving towards $100 a day.

It would seem that our forum is just made for someone like yourself and it would be our great pleasure to invite you to register and sign in there with a group of individuals all looking to achieve a similar goal to yourself in a very positive and upbeat posting environment.

The same of course goes for anyone else too, the more, the merrier.

Thanks as well, for a good read above, I enjoyed that.

Weather is so unpredictable in these days that we can’t plan anything. All our plans and assumption are going wrong now. I suffered the same last month on Christmas and all my holidays were destroyed due to unpredictable weather.

Thanks so much for your invitation, I will most definitely hop on over and join the forums. This year has started out with a bang. Last year I made a total of about $1,300 for the entire year, this year and only half into the first month I have made about $500. This year is going to be the one..

Thanks for your invitation, and hope to see you here and at one hundred dollars a day.com frequently.

    Hi Mike

Thanks for your great comment. I think the newness of skiing will wear off in time, and now that 3 kids around us have just bought new snowboards, I think he will revert back soon. We are headed to the slopes tonight for a 5 hour night session. We have got about 4 feet of new snow in the past 3 days, and it is still coming down heavily. It looks like it will be a good time tonight.

Have your great time and I am sure you are enjoying Japan civilization and their culture as well. They are really hard working people.

$100 a day in 2010 do you really think that this one is achievable. I am now going to your new blogs and lets see whether I will be able to make that much money. I will be happy if I will make it 25% of that. :)

Hey you can go in other city of Hokkaido…

Actually Hokkaid?’s largest city is the capital, Sapporo. Other major cities include Hakodate in the south and Asahikawa in the central region. Other important population centers include Kushiro, Obihiro, Abashiri, Nemuro.

This is more exciting if you can go there..

I am the opposite. I went skiing one time and after falling down the mountain all day went back to golf. My vacation always comes in the middle of summer, near a golf course.
