Snowboarding Adventure
My son and myself went on our first Snowboarding Adventure on a local mountain nearby the village that we live in. The great thing about this hill, is that it is totally free and a nice gentle slope for beginners. The day was great alternating between sun and snow with blue skies. It was truly a great feeling to be sitting on the hill resting with a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.
The temperatures lately have been around 30’s to 40’s during the day and dropping down into the upper 20’s at night. It hasn’t snowed in the past 2 days, but the weather says that it is a high chance of snow tonight. Friday is supposed to be clear, with predictions of snow on Saturday and Sunday.
The driving so far has been fairly easy, and maybe it is still too early to see the real bad conditions. But downtown Asahikawa is very dangerous. The roads are like ice skating rinks after all of the cars pack the snow down and it turns to ice. As long as there is a lot of snow on the road, it is easy to drive in, but the ice is scary, and you have to leave large distances between yourself and the other cars, and start applying the breaks slowly way before you actually need to stop.
I have made a video of my son and myself on our first snowboarding adventure. Hope you like it… And until next time take care all.

Good start Charlie and Koby!
The nearby ski grounds should be open in about 2 or 3 weeks.
Then, you can ride the chair lift up to the top, and carve big powder on the way down.
The hardest part is getting off of the chair lift at the top of the hill, without falling down.
That is another skill you will soon be learning.
See ya on the slopes!!!

Yes, I would say Maiden goes with almost anything, but I can think of a time or two where Meatloaf was a better fit.
