Synchronicity

Just couldn’t resist posting about some severe synchronicities that have been happening to me lately, and maybe get some comments on what it might mean Coincidence or Destiny, I am open for suggestions.  I have an idea of why the connections are happening the way they are, but another opinion is always cool to hear also.  Tom Campbell explains in detail how synchronicities happen and why in his trilogy “My Big Toe” which I highly recommend.

Synchronicity 1:

The other day I was introduced to a young lady who is also from Texas, who knew someone that was looking for an English Teacher for their English Conversation school.  So we met at a local restaurant to discuss the details of the job.  Now starts the synchronicity, Laura asked what part of Texas I was from and normally I respond with Houston, since everyone knows Houston, and I only lived about 24 miles north of there.  Laura said my home is in Spring Texas, which was exactly where we lived, when I responded I did too, she asked what street……. Come to find out we lived off of the same street probably only 5 minutes from each other.  And met for the first time half-way across the world on the small island of Hokkaido.  Thanks to Laura I am now employed as an English Teacher.  Coincidence or Destiny?

Synchronicity 2:

One of our contacts before we came was a man named Sakamoto, we had emailed him back and forth over a years time before we came to Hokkaido, when we actually arrived here, we found out that Sakamoto was the vice principle of my sons school here in Hokkaido, although the principle and vice principle was being replaced, as they do here every few years.  Sakamoto gave us a kitchen table and we met one time face to face, and then he moved away to the 2nd largest city in Hokkaido where my friend Snowman has a English school, also check out Snowman’s new website at Everything Japan.  So I met him once and then he moved away and I never saw him again, until my first week of classes, where I found that he was one of my English students.  Coincidence or Destiny?

Synchronicity 3:

The Assistant Language Teacher Ben, another internet contact before I came here and now good friend of mine after moving here, usually comes over to visit after his classes at my sons school.  He made a visit the other day and we were just chatting when I told him that I had been busy creating a web site about alternative energy technologies which you can check out at How to Make Electricity.  He mentioned that he had a friend in Higashikawa (next town over) that was interested in that type of stuff and was building a eco friendly straw-bale house in Higashikawa.  Later on that evening I have some google alerts set up with the keyword of Hokkaido, so I can keep up with web news that relates to the island I live on.  I received an email about a man who lives in Higashikawa that is building a straw-bale House.

I thought this has to be the same person Ben was talking about, since straw-bale houses are very rare here. I sent an email to the man named Toby (my son’s name is Koby) and he wrote me back very quickly.  He said that in fact Ben was a friend of his, and that we probably have another friend in common who lives in the same small village that we do, and that was also correct.  Toby and my birthday is exactly one week apart, our favorite musician is exactly the same (Tom Petty), and that he had already heard about the family that just moved here from Texas.  Check out Toby’s blog at Bomber Maiko and Toby.

All of these events have happened in the past 2 weeks, and have left me with my jaw hitting the floor.  Quantum mechanics at play here, or Quantum entanglement.  There are more similarities, but for the sake of privacy I will not reveal them, but believe me when I say this, that like vibrations attract, and there are no coincidences.  Everything happens for a purpose, and it is just the way the universe keeps us on the Path.

Coincidence or Destiny?  You decide, and let me know what you think.

Check out the above links that I have posted and get a better understanding of the backgrounds of how this all unfolded.  And as always, take care my friends.

Thank you so much for your comments, I love it here! And I cannot see myself ever leaving. I feel at home here, and have not encountered anyone who made me feel uncomfortable yet. The Japanese people have been so kind, and that’s one of the reasons I love Japan so much.

Very nice post! I do believe this is destiny. I really feel that these are signs you are on the right path. By the way my Brothers name is Koby, spelled the same way and you don’t see that very often at all. Have a great day! Namaste’
