Does your Electronics Need Blessing?

Kanda-Myojin Shrine
Kanda-Myojin Shrine

Has the latest virus rendered your hardrive a nice sized paperweight? Or Maybe you need some traffic to your blog.

Well if the normal methods to solve these two problems such as oh! maybe a virus scan program, or how about your run of the mill search engine optimization or backlinks just don’t seem to cut the mustard, there is always the spiritual solution to these problems.

For all of you spiritual techno geeks, such as myself, there is the Kanda-Myojin shrine, just a small hop skip and a jump from Akihabara on the big island of Honshu, Japan.

Probably due to the closeness of Akihabara, which is the electronics mecca of Japan the Kanda-Myojin shrine has started blessing pc’s, laptops, ipod’s and other electronic gadgets at the shrine.

Upon approaching the shrine it looks like your typical Shinto shrine that I often display pictures of here on CharlesHamel.com.  But upon entering you will find Shinto priests blessing all sorts of electronics.

Normally you find at your larger shrines, shops where you can buy charms of protection while traveling in your vehicle, or other various charms, but uniquely at the Kanda-Myojin shrine you can pick up a charm adorned with what appears to be circuit boards and chips.

There is even a charm to bless your blog.  I think I need to get one for CharlesHamel.com so it will remain prosperous with great visitors who leave awesome comments.  Take Care all!

It’d be cool if I can get my hands on one of those techno charms.

Hey, very interesting post.

My written English is not so good so I write in German:

“Lieber den Spatz in der Hand, als die Taube auf dem Dach.”

Yours sincerely
