Explaining Oneness
A lot of times when I speak of Oneness, I am not sure that I am getting my point across, so I have decided to create this post to explain what I believe about Oneness and how I think that we are all connected and part of all that there is. Some have said that we are children of God, while others (including me) say we are God. Could it be that both of those statements are true to some point, could it be that there is a level where we are all one, allowing for glimpses of ourselves as one through the experiences of empathy and intuition.
Some things to ponder would be that the idea of Reincarnation would take on a whole new meaning. This would mean that we are everyone and it would just be a matter of which particular life-time we wanted to tune into or recall. Perhaps Oneness is what we make it out to be, maybe there is no right or wrong answer.
There is many aspects of this topic to ponder, and dealing with the philosophy side, it creates a lot for thought. I do not claim to know the definitive answer, but I can share what I believe and then the discussion can go on from there.
First let me ask, what is the difference from an ocean and a drop of sea-water? Is it only the size? If we were to do a scientific analysis of both, wouldn’t they test out to be the exact same? I use this analogy to explain the Oneness of all there is, and how we are all connected.
Picture a supreme being, I used a non-denominational generic being. Now imagine this supreme being pinching a piece of his arm off and creating a new person, and giving this person free will.
If you were to do a scientific analysis of the guy on the left and one of the people on the right, wouldn’t they both test out to be the exact same?
This is why I believe that we are all one and the same, yes we have our outside containers that all look different, but on a spiritual level, our souls are all the same and come from the same source. That is why I say we are all God. Is not a drop of sea water an ocean? Is not a spark of the creator, the creator?
Now instead of picturing a figure on the left, just imagine it as a pool of divine consciousness. There is a drop of the divine consciousness in us all, and once we understand this, we can overcome the petty differences that our Ego’s have with each other. If everyone realized this on a mass scale, there would be no more wars, there would be no more crime, there would be no more hunger and we would not be treating our planet the way that we do.
I hope that I have made my beliefs clear on this topic, and of course it is only my beliefs. I have been told that I am blasphemous by saying that we are all God. But I ask you, how many people do you know that believe this, that are out killing people that don’t believe the same? Take Care my friends.

Yes you really do have to watch out for people who want to enforce their point of view on others. I know that I believe certain things. For instance I believe in reincarnation. But do I really understand it? I doubt it. I have tried to understand concepts like eternity and find that my mind is just not equipped to do it. I feel that something inside of me is capable of understanding it. But my mind is much too crude to understand it. Unfortunately it is very loud as well. It’s tough getting past it to discover whatever might be on the other side.
Just a few rambling remarks for a Monday eve.

Its great to share your beliefs because it enables you to reinforce how you feel and rediscover who you are. People have opportunities to learn about you and to discover things they may not have known before. People need not agree with everything you say, but it is an asset to develop flexibility and to nurture an open-mind.
