I’ll Give you a Peace of My Mind
Something that all of us seek is True Peace of Mind. What is the nature of this illustrious goal? Is it the balance that is contained in movement, or the synchronicities created when one person creates combines with what is created by all of those around us. It is similar to a musical band in which all of the various instruments each have its own different tones sounds and strengths, yet when they are played together, the combined harmony is very pleasurable to the listener.
If all of us continue to be creative in line with our own personality, occupations, and abilities, for the benefit and happiness of others around us, as well as ourselves, this creativity correlates with a universal principal that will lead to harmony on a grand scale. This will interact with the creativity of others in a wonderful flow of harmony. If this occurs, the will to work will be stimulated in our minds and in our hearts, and then in turn we will come to find our work and daily lives to be pleasant.
To me this is true Peace of Mind, and I think it is fair to say that this harmonious creativity is the ultimate human ideal. We can see hints of this in our world at various times, among certain groups and certain people in various places. But it seems almost impossible that such harmony can be witnessed on a global scale, for wherever we look, around us, in the daily newspapers, or on the TV, we see disharmony reigning supreme.
From one point of view disharmony can be seen as a path to improvement and progress. I will give you an example, disharmony will occur if a team of workmen are building a road but only one of the team members are working towards the goal while others in the group are being lazy. If this one hard workers ethics encourages the others to work harder, then a new harmony will emerge.
Our human race has advanced and evolved through the repetition of low level harmonies being interrupted by things that are different and better, which in turn leads to a new harmony where the level of all has been raised. “Everyone talks about ‘me’ all the time, but no one in this world can exist independently of everyone and everything else. We can only live through the help of others”. And since we live in a world of give and take, we must seriously be concerned with the need to stop fighting among ourselves, and to obtain harmony in our world.
Time and time again when people try to bend others to their will, all they do is affect themselves. Taking away others freedom merely takes away our own. Wars continue because we make bid deals out of small differences. If we understand that we are all One and the Same, the need for War will most definitely disappear. Since we live in a give and take society, there is no reason why we should not be able to cooperate and live in Peace and Harmony and then our journey On the Path will be truly a blessing. Take care my friends.

As you infer, many views exist to offer meanings of, “peace of mind.” One explanation worth reading lies in Ross Bishop’s book, Journey to Enlightenment. Bishop believes peace of mind is a fascinating part of each person’s deep, transformational process. I like how he points out that,
“even though almost every human being fears failing ‘the test,’ Its impossible for us to fail! We are part of the God Consciousness, and the outcome is pre-ordained. Our lack of awareness of that and our lack of confidence in the Creator is a measure of where we are on the path.”
Spiritual reflection can lead to only one kind of destination: the Truth. Not everyone is ready or willing to follow the winding path that will enable them to truly begin to grasp who and what they are.
