When Was the Last Time you Examined Your Self?

Self Examination is a practice that is common to all religions and spiritual practices. In some religions it can take the form of an offering, in others a prayer and in others perhaps a meditation. The forms of Self Examination can vary from person to person.

Self Examination is a fundamental condition for human beings who seek a higher level of existence, consciousness or vibration. The reason for this is that us as human beings are creatures, whose lives are filled with contradictions. One example is we as human beings unite in ourselves 2 contradictory sides: one that desires to realize personal goals regardless of the cost to others, and one that seeks to cooperate with others in the belief that we cannot live without each others help.

The point at when we depart on this road to self examination is when we understand that all of us live our lives in this two-fold dilemma. The question is to what degree can we overcome this egoism, and come to the value of others? In order to answer this question , and to move forward On the Path, daily self-examination is a must.

Most of the time when we engage in conflicts with others we have a strong sense that we are not in the wrong, and it is the other person who is at fault. And yet if we take the time for a true self examination, the thought will be along the lines that perhaps the other person is somewhat justified, and that we also might be partially to blame. If this thought even begins to creep into our thinking process, then without a doubt a feeling of forgiveness toward the other will start to manifest in our hearts.

In all religions, believers confess and atone for their sins in some form or another, in the hopes of forgiveness. This happens to the extent that we become aware of our own foolishness and wrongdoings, that we start to nurture a spirit of humility through which we can forgive others. The deeper we delve into ourselves using self examination, the stronger love and compassion will grow within us.

Make it a daily practice to use self examination to raise your vibrational level and further your journey on the path. Take Care my friends!

Using self-examination is the fastest way to grow spiriutally that I use. I have learned to look at others as a mirror to me of what I like and don’t like about myself. If something about another person makes me angry, I probably have a similar trait in myself that I have disowned and need to reconnect with. Thanks for the great article.
