Ancient Civilizations 2

Ancient Ruins have been found off of the coast of Cuba, although with the political differences between the US and Cuba, to this date only Russian and French scientists have been allowed to investigate this amazing find. Sonar images from a ship reveal smooth, white stones laid out in geometric patterns. The pictures look like pieces of a city, in a place where nothing man-made should exist, going on for nearly eight square miles in a deep-ocean plain off Cuba’s western tip.

Findings like this truly fascinate me, what are the secrets of this ancient civilization, could they reveal secrets similar to the ones we have found in ancient Egypt? Miles and miles of ocean floor has been mapped, but nothing this extraordinary has ever been found. Could this be the long lost Atlantis that is mentioned frequently? The location would fit the stories told.

The images on radar have shown pyramids, and various other structures that cannot possibly be natural formations. Also stones were extracted that contain animal fossils incapable of living at a depths of 700 meters. This discovery demonstrates that the first north americans arrived earlier than previously thought and that all did not arrive on the continent by means of the Bering Straits. Many others arrived from Asia by means of the Pacific Ocean.

According to the investigators, these structures seem to be remains of streets, pyramids and buildings. Most of these blocks have gigantic dimensions, reaching to five meters of height and several tons of weight. This is similar to the article I wrote about Yonaguni a small island south-west of Okinawa in the Japanese archipelago. In 1988, scuba divers led by Kihachiro Aratake discovered an enormous stone structure on the seabed off the coast of Yonaguni.

The National Geographic Foundation is funding another excursion to the area near Cuba, and hopefully we will learn of new findings and maybe some answers to the origin of this Ancient Civilization. I just love stories like this. I think it’s because it gives me hope that we might find some type of ancient technology that was lost, that could improve our society today.
