I have been working for 2 days on getting a slideshow to work and be embedded on this blog.
Almost gave up a couple of times, but was determined to not be defeated.
Flickr is a great site if you have never been there.
I would say it is as good as YouTube on the subject of photographs.
Lots of beautiful Hokkaido pics there.

Now that you have learned how to make the slideshow and embed it into a web page, the next time you want to do it, it won’t take two days. Maybe two hours or less. And the next time after that, even less time and effort to acheive the same or better results. Specific knowledge and repeated practice, is what separates the professionals from the pretenders. It works the same way in all fields of endevor.
