Amusing Contrast
It’s interesting how my reactions to contrast have changed. I used to have a lot of knee jerk reactions, and get upset. I still get knee jerk reactions sometimes, but now I can feel the disconnection, and I’m able to stop and think, and then feel. What is my guidance system telling me? We have to learn to get to the point of think before react. Our reactions tend to get in the way at times.
I’m finding myself just allowing people to just be who they are. Even if they are being a jerk, it doesn’t bother me anymore. Even if they say they are easy going and yet bad mouth someone or judge other people, I don’t call them on it. I just let it go. They have their own lessons to learn, that can only be done with experience. I’ve learned those lessons already. I’m enjoying the contrast.
In the process of that, I’m allowing myself to BE who I am. It’s been an interesting journey.
I used to attract a certain kind of person (undesirable at that), and now those types of people are just disappearing. I now know why! I was attracting that type of person. But seeing the result of what’s happening is exciting! I’m having more fun!
I am no longer bothered by the type of people who take things too seriously. I used to be like, hey lighten up! But now I’m okay with whoever they are. If they want to get all bent over backwards or getting their panties in a bunch about something, I just sit back and know that this lesson has to be sorted out by them. Actually now it’s becoming funny. I know not to laugh in sight or ear shot. I just have a great laugh inside. It’s kind of like someone getting mad at a traffic jam, their blood pressure rises, they scream and holler, meanwhile the traffic could care less that they are mad.
Because I’m okay with where I’m at! It’s been a wonderful journey so far.
I can’t wait to see what comes next!
