Would you Rather Be Right or Happy?

I wonder how this question works in various contexts - “Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy” -
“Hey idiot everybody knows the world is flat! And if you don’t believe in Jesus Christ as your only Lord and Saviour you re going to go straight to HELL!”
Well yeah you re right I must agree with you, I don’t need to find the truth, I just want to be happy.
“We re going to be the one doing the thinking for you, boy! You re a nothing, a nobody! You don’t count!”
You must be right, I agree with you; I just want to be happy?
I read Wayne Dyer and a whole bunch of paperback gurus write this one, Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy? Wayne, I have always wanted to find the TRUTH, and that often means I would walk away from, disagree with or directly have to confront others who claim to hold that TRUTH but are partially or entirely ill-informed. But the more I think about it! What’s the point? Deep down inside I know they are wrong, but it is not worth the effort to prove them otherwise, not that it would accomplish anything to begin with, nor do I want to extend the energy to do it.
Sometimes it’s just better to let the other person be right, no matter what it is, and you just remain Happy!
