Life’s Secret

leap_of_faith.jpg
What is the secret to life? It is an age old question, everyone wants to know why they are here and what they are supposed to be doing, what is my purpose? It is a very complex question that has been pondered by philosophers throughout the ages and many attempts at being answered. I am going to share my ideas on this subject. Let me know how you feel about this in a comment, whether you agree or disagree.

I believe the secret of Life is it’s experiences. What do you mean Charles? I think that we all can agree that we are all in cycles, cycles of life. The soul has a need to grow and learn and to evolve beyond what is has been in the past. How do we learn and grow? By experiencing new things, experiencing mystical places, learning from others who are farther along the path than we are. By doing this we allow ourselves to become aware of new levels of God-Consciousness, we grow into more enlightened beings, and we develop our higher selves.

So what is holding many of us back? Fear….people are scared to experience new things, they are scared to death to get out of their comfort zones and to take that leap of faith. If you had a chance to move to another country and experience a new way of life, would you sell everything and take that leap of faith? People are afraid to fail, people don’t want to take that chance to learn. Without failure there is no way to grow. Personally I would rather take that leap of faith, than live the rest of my life wondering what would have happened if I took that leap, or regretting that I did not take that leap of faith. Without taking chances we never experience things that may well be enjoyable or enrich our lives.

To give you an example of this I site LOVE. So many people wish to experience love and have love in their lives. The problem occurs when people allow one or maybe many experiences to sour them on love. They build up an expectation of what love should be and when it fails to meet that expectation they become fearfull about taking the chance again.

Well let me tell you what, if you never take the chance you will never find what you are looking for. There is an old expression, “You can’t make an omlette without cracking a few eggs.” You can’t find true love without heartache and setbacks. The same is true about friends, family and work. If you are not happy you need to change what is making you unhappy. Don’t sit there and bitch because your job sucks or your friends are jackasses. Change! Thats right, get off your butt and make a change. For many this entails getting out of that comfort zone and taking a chance.

So many of you will say, “Is it is hard.” Life if what you make of it. If you take the chance and do what you really want to you will find the reward for your efforts is well worth it in the end.

Take care my friends, and think about what I have said here!

Hello Charles.
You’ve almost completely understood the SECRET, which is really nothing more than the meditative observation of MOTHER EARTH and FATHER SUN along with brother and/or sister moon(s) in tow. The TIDE is high and rising. Get onboard and ride the big one. A leap of faith should be in the upward direction, YOU’ALL CAN FLY!!!
See ya soon.

Life’s secret is that there is no SECRET!

Is that not the teaching of Buddhism? Perhaps I am wrong, but if everyone found out WHY they were here there would be no reason to BE here.

Each day is a new revelation, one that allows us to take chances and endure and conquer each new peril with “seamless” effort.

Individually, some of us finally learn that the so -called “Secret” we search is Our own individuality. Then we work harder to fine tone our intrinsic capabillities. When we can do that , the world may be capable of “singing in perfect harmony”.

But the operative word is HARMONY. There is no shame in singing baritone, Soprano or Bass as long as it is on key.

Monotones are boring. We need to become perfect within our individual voice, so that when blended it is acceptable to “Life’s song.” This Secret “song” has never been composed as of yet. It is our collective job to write the “Opera”.

But we continue to search for the right pitch in our own individuality. While we search for perfection within ourselves, we sometimes confuse our purpose as “self”. However, we must know that our ultimate goal is to sing in the “Mass Choir”.

Again, it is no SECRET, we all Know it, but we don’t know what to do with it. We earnestly search for a “Conductor” who will orchestrate all of our voices together. But it is that need that keeps us searching. Until we find “it” we keep fine tuning, always practicing yet never performing.

Why do we not give in and simply sing naturally?

Perhaps it is our fear that if we ALL became one of the same choir, noone would be left capable of hearing us sing.
