Insurance Snafu
After being a Geico customer even before they let the general public become members, I have just been notified that they are no longer offering Home Insurance in Texas. So now I am in the market for Home Insurance once again. I had my car and home insurance with them. If your like me, I hate shopping for insurance, it is actually painful, not to mention you get never ending follow up telephone calls from all the people that you inquired with.
I decided to start my search on the Internet this time, and just do a little lurking around to see what others were saying about some of the companies offering Home Insurance. One company that I ran across that seemed promising was ASDA Home Insurance and Car Insurance.
After doing some further research I found out that they are part of the Wal-mart family. So far so good! And some of the listed benefits are:

- New for Old cover - brand new replacement goods if your originals can’t be repaired
- We deal direct with the tradesmen for you - no need to get quotes: all you pay is your excess
- Choice of ways to pay
So I think I will give them a shot and see how things turn out. If your in the market for home or car insurance, have a look at what they offer and see if they meet your needs.
