Search Engine News
Being a technology geek and a big Google fan, I am always interested in what is going on behind the scenes at Google and general search engine news. To stay up to date with this type of information is very helpful for those of us with websites. Some people just build sites and put them up on the Internet, and never really do anything else except promote them.
Promoting your website is important, but equally important is trying to get your site as close to the first page of the search engines as you can. This involves a constant tweaking of keywords, H1 Tags, and Optimization in general. Staying up with what is going on with the search engines makes this task a little easier, and will put you a step above many others.
One source that refer to for search engine news and information is Apogee-search.com. You can find out information such as Yahoo news Top Google Rankings, and a Google Page Rank FAQ. I prefer keeping up with current info by checking Apogee-search’s Blog. Another reason that I like Apogee-search is because they are a local Texas company based out of Austin, so I have to show my support just for that purpose if nothing else. They also have some search engine optimization tools that will assist you in getting your website ranked higher in the search engines. Apogee-search.com is a good resource if you like to stay on top of what is going on in the search engine world.
And now that I am on the subject of Google Page Rank, Google is in the process of completing a Page Rank Audit, which I have been waiting on for months. The page rank system is a scale of 0-10, and gives a rank to a website with 0 being the worst and 10 being the best. Popular sites such as Ebay rank a 9, and Myspace ranks a 8. This website received it’s first page rank a few days ago and I was very excited to receive a Page rank of 3. Being that this blog is just 4 months old, it took a lot of work, some good content and great readers to achieve that beginning rank, and I want to personally thank you all.
