Look What G-Man Found
As a lot of you people know I am a bit of a Internet junkie, I am on my computer around 10 hours a day. I know I know get a life. But for right now this is my life. Running a Blog is not that easy, especially if you post to it often. I cannot bring myself to make short posts, It makes me feel like I am ripping my readers off. I mean you take the time out of your busy schedules to come here and read what I have to say, so I want to make sure I am giving you quality content and not filler.
If you have a Blog of your own you might know that it can be a tough job sometimes. Trying to come up with new and interesting things to keep the readers coming back can be a daunting task. And not only that, but there is a lot of things going on in the background that you as a non-Blogger might not know about. I mean you have the upfront building of your Blog, the personalization, backlinks, SEO, search engine submission, article directories, web page directories, promotion. Let’s face it, you can have the best Blog in the world, but if no one is reading it, then it’s all for nothing.
In my surfing travels the other day I found a cool site called Look What G-Man Found. Overall it’s a site about making money on the web with personal comments from “G-Man” the author. One of the many things that goes on in the background of running a Blog is SEO or search engine optimization. You see the way the search engines work is they have these robot scripts that scour the Internet Indexing web pages. They pick up the general theme of websites by the keywords that are in them. For instance if you have a site about auto-repair, the word auto-repair will be repeated many times on the site, so the page will get picked up as a auto-repair site. Now this is explaining it in very simple terms, it is way more complicated than that.
The task of picking good keywords can be very difficult, it’s not as easy as picking a keyword that is very common, yes you will get a lot of results in the search engine, but trying to get your website on the first or second page of Google or Yahoo for common keywords is almost impossible. Therefore you have to delve deeper and find keywords that are searched for often but have very little competition. A very common keyword would be “Golf”, if you search for Golf in Google you are going to get around 365 million results, now if you go deeper into that subject like “Golf Clubs” then you start to narrow it down a bit with 12 million. Then take it farther and try “left hand golf clubs” and you get roughly 2 million results. So you can see where I am going with this.
There are a lot of Keyword search tools on the Internet that will assist you in this difficult task, on LookWhatGmanFound.com he reviews six different keyword software packages which is very helpful if you are tasked with finding keywords for your website or niche. He includes the major ones such as Overture and Wordtracker and a few not so well known packages.
If you are in the process of building a blog or website or have one already and need to optimize it check out LookWhatGmanFound.com for some tips that could help you out.

I can relate to what you are saying and can appreciate the simplistic interpretation of the SEO concept. We too are fairly new and are generating material to help new professionals out there. Good luck in your venture and I look forward to seeing more of your posts.
