Fiesta Bowl Champions

I am a football fan by heart, not so much a pro football fan but more of a college football fan. I don’t like where pro football has come, with all of the multi-million dollar salaries and the thugs who play. College football still seems to have the love of the game involved versus the salaries.

I watched the Fiesta Bowl on New Years Day, and talking about a great game. Congratulations to the Boise State Broncos in their win. Now I have a vested interest in this game due to a cousin of mine who attends the college. The Broncos won an exciting 43 - 42 win in overtime over Oklahoma, in a definite nail biter and amazing finish.

My aunt lives in Boise and I have visited a couple of times and found it to be a very nice town. In fact it was listed in CNN’s Money magazine as the #8 best place to live. It has that genuine small town feeling to me, but I might think that because I live in Houston. The skiing is great and that might be the thing that attracts me to the place the most. I never get to see snow here in Houston, and I have always wanted to live in a place where I had the option to go snowboarding or skiing.

I loved the outdoor-centered nature of much of the entertainment that takes advantage of the city’s various parks, with Hyde park being one of the nicest ones. The people are super nice. Great weather, and you have beautiful changing seasons, again something I don’t experience here in Houston. Downtown is awesome, there is lots to do. Overall it is just a great place to live for anybody, retirees, young families, or single people. If you have an interest in moving there the housing is affordable Boise homes for sale

Boise is a place where people are moving in because of the quality of life. I feel a reverse in our society is happening, where people used to flock to the major cities in the past, things have come full circle and people are now running away from the big cities.

I have had the itching to move away from Houston for a while now.  I would like to move to a place where I could enjoy nature more, experience the beauty of changing seasons and see mountains and snow.  Maybe this year that opportunity might arise, we shall see what 2007 has in store for me.
