10 Years
What would you do if you only had 10 years to live?
Would you quit your job?
Would you spend your retirement fund?
Would you make phone calls to old friends and relatives, let them know you loved them?
Would you leave your mark on the world or…..
Would you just go on as before? Could you do it?
What if it was your family that had only 10 years to live?
Could you look at your son or daughter knowing they would not reach maturity?
Could you care at all how much you have saved for them?
Would you take them on lavish vacations with your seed money and IRA funds?
Would you help them make their mark on the world or…..
Would you just go on as before? Could you do it?
What if it was your neighborhood? Your country?
What if the human race only had 10 years to live?
Would you look out and finally see the sunset?
Would you finally start appreciating the irony of your life?
Would you finally see that we’re not living, but dying a slow and painful death?
Would you try to change your fate, make the world a better place, not this dooms-day machine, this ticking time bomb, or…..
Would you just go on as before? Could you do it?
Of course you could, that’s what you’re doing right now.
