Christmas Lights

Climbed up on the roof and finished putting up Christmas lights on the house today.  If it was up to me…….well …. I would probably still do it, but it’s mostly for the kids.  I know these will be some memorable moments for later years, so I want to make sure we always have a Christmas Tree and Lights on the house.  It was rainy out but we managed to get them up, only to find out that some quit working.  I will check them tomorrow.  The wife made lollipops out of these old giant plastic candy canes that we had.  She cut out circles out of cardboard and taped them to the candy canes, wrapped them in colored cellophane with bows.  They were real cute, but the trick was getting them to stand up, so she decided on clothes hangers stuck into the ground with the candy canes over them.  That did the trick.

We are planning on moving to Hokkaido Japan around May 2007 so we have been in the process of selling almost everything we own.  Japan really don’t celebrate Christmas since it is a Christian Holiday, but even though we are not Christians, it is still fun for the kids, and we will continue to do it when we go to Japan.

Take Care, I’m going to go eat.
